When Life Gives You Mangoes

The story portrays life in a small village on an island in the Caribbean. It is an exciting mystery inspired by the author’s childhood experiences. The main character in the story is Clara, who is eager to remember what happened to her during the previous summer’s storm. Clara and her friend Gaynah have lived a quiet life in the village of Sycamore, playing freely in the area and eating ripe mangoes picked straight from the trees. But things start to change for Clara with the arrival of a new girl from Cardiff named Rudy. In the height of summer and the storm season, memories of what happened the previous summer gradually come back to Clara. There is an unexpected twist at the end of the story as the truth is revealed.
