More Than Flags and Rainbows is developing a series of powerful, youth-centred film projects that will launch in 2026. Each project aims to elevate voices that are too often unheard, shining a light on real experiences and helping schools, families, and communities understand the world through the eyes of children and young people. To bring these stories to life, we are looking to connect with talented freelance filmmakers and film editors who share our commitment to authenticity, inclusion, and ethical storytelling.​

We have three upcoming projects:

Ein Llais, Ein Cymru – a celebration of identity, belonging, and culture, where children and young people from across Wales will share what being Welsh means to them. (Wales based only due to grant funding)

Neurodivergent Voices – a project where neurodivergent young people will tell us, in their own words, what they wish teachers understood about neurodiversity and what helps them to thrive in school.

Adoption: The Real Story – honest, supportive insights from adopters and adoptees about what adoption is really like, helping professionals and families develop more nuanced understanding.​

These films will be used in schools, training settings, and community environments to support learning, empathy, and better practice. Your work will not only capture stories but contribute to real improvement in how children and young people are seen, understood, and supported.We will be reaching out to potential freelancers throughout early 2026.
