The Winter Festival

The story introduces readers to five magical tribes that gather annually to celebrate the Winter Festival, a time of peace and togetherness. At the heart of the tale is the unlikely friendship between Little Olive, an ogre, and Dewi Draig, a dragon. Dragons are feared and are not welcome. On the day of the celebration each tribe brings a unique tradition to the festival, but dragons have been banned from the celebration for a million moons due to past events and an old secret. Dewi’s presence at the Winter Festival is met with fear and unkindness. However, Dewi Draig and Little Olive’s friendship challenges long-standing prejudices, and changes are made to the Winter Festival to ensure all are included. Their journey highlights the importance of standing up for what’s right, embracing differences and fostering understanding.
